I immediately started looking for candles.

I knew we had some somewhere, but of course, when you actually need something, it suddenly becomes impossible to remember where you put it.

Searching in the Dark

I grabbed my phone and used its flashlight to look around.

The usual places didn’t have anything.

I checked a kitchen drawer, opened a cabinet, and searched through a few boxes. Still nothing.

Then I remembered there might be candles stored away in another room.

I walked down the hallway, carefully making my way through the darkness.
